Use "Amazon 1 Button" Chrome extension to sniff all HTTPS websites

In browser's world that means all the juicy stuff is sent over HTTPS. All the juicy stuff is sent over HTTPS. Unfortunately, this request goes over HTTPS, so only Amazon can know your URLs. First file defines what HTTPS sites can be inspected. Poor man's transparent HTTPS->HTTP proxy. All captured HTTPS data will be in pwn.log file.

Police in many parts of the country responded with SWAT raids. Though he had no training as a SWAT officer, Shaq apparently had gone on several such raids with other police departments around the country. In 2010 a massive Maricopa County SWAT team, including a tank and several armored vehicles, raided the home of Jesus Llovera.

U.S. charges Edward Snowden with espionage

Federal prosecutors have filed a sealed criminal complaint against Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who leaked a trove of documents about top-secret surveillance programs, and the United States has asked Hong Kong to detain him on a provisional arrest warrant, according to U.S. officials.

Monday was my 46th birthday and likely my last

You may have heard of her, her name is Wonder Woman. I've had a full life, with no regrets. I've contributed to my debt to society, working hard throughout my life, as a teacher, a waiter, an open source software developer. I've been 2 of the things, which isn't bad. Joking aside, I'm looking for some grandiose ideas of things to do after I've died, and have hopefully been revived.

Edward Snowden Q&A

Seeing someone in the position of Clapper - the Director of National Intelligence - baldly lying to the public without repercussion is the evidence of a subverted democracy. The 29-year-old former NSA contractor and source of the Guardian's NSA files coverage will with the help of Glenn Greenwald take your questions today on why he revealed the NSA's top-secret surveillance of US citizens, the international storm that's ensued, and the uncertain future he now faces.

Senators skip classified briefing on NSA snooping to catch flights home

A recent briefing by senior intelligence officials on surveillance programs failed to attract half of the Senate, showing the lack of enthusiasm in Congress for learning about classified security programs. Many senators elected to leave Washington early Thurs. afternoon instead of attending a briefing with James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, Keith Alexander, the head of the National Security Agency, and other officials.

Project Loon

Project Loon is a network of balloons traveling on the edge of space, designed to connect people in rural and remote areas, help fill coverage gaps, and bring people back online after disasters. The signal bounces from balloon to balloon, then to the global Internet back on Earth. Project Loon starts in June 2013 with an experimental pilot in New Zealand.

The day Steve Jobs dissed me in a keynote (2010)

In May 2003, Apple invited me to their headquarters to discuss getting CD Baby's catalog into the iTunes Music Store. For Apple to sell all music, not just artists who had signed their rights away to a corporation, this was amazing! Apple emailed us the iTunes Music Store contract. With 5000 musicians signed up, that meant I was refunding $200,000.

More Americans see man who leaked NSA secrets as 'patriot' than traitor

Some 23 percent of those surveyed said former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden is a traitor while 31 percent said he's a patriot. U.S. authorities have said they're weighing possible criminal charges against Snowden, who was an employee of VA-based consultant Booz Allen Hamilton when he leaked documents indicating the NSA's surveillance of Americans is much broader than had been disclosed publicly. Reuters/Ipsos polling conducted since the leaks were revealed last Thurs. have found Americans divided over the merits of the NSA surveillance program.

How the US Government will Smear, Slight Whistleblower Edward Snowden

Snowden said that he stepped forward because he came to realize that the US government is engaged in invasions of Americans privacy on a vast and unprecedented scale, and was hiding its interpretation of the law from the American people. 1. Basically, Amazon constantly monitors the app servers, and if any of them reaches a certain CPU usage, Amazon will automatically launch X new server(s) and associate them with the load balancer when they're up and running Rather than have to deal with that, I changed the app to use cookie-based sessions, so that session data is stored in signed cookies rather than in memcache I fell in love with it the moment I scaled it from one to two availability zones with a couple of clicks on the AWS admin console See here for the relevant parts of my fabfile. Choosing Minecraft Over Disney

Mom, can I play on the iPad? my daughter calls from the kitchen, where Im sure her hand is hovering over the device, waiting for my assent.

Its Saturday morning. My husband left early for a round of golf, and Im an okay away from a blissful hour sequestered with my writing book and favorite pen. Heck, I might even have a chance to finish this story instead of letting it tumble around in my head, spitting out phrases while Im cutting into the right lane to avoid the car in front of me.

My other option for her is TV, but Id rather have her on the iPad because shell be either playing Minecraft or watching YouTube videos of other people playing Minecraft. Shell build a world in creative mode with a swimming pool full of wool and probably a library. Her world will be blissfully threat-free until she switches over to survival mode, when the creepers, zombies, and pigs appear. There are also spiders, Mommy, she tells me, reading over my shoulder, and pig men.

To get ideas and inspiration shell watch YouTube videos of others playing Minecraft, like SkyDoesMinecraft, who recaps his quests as he saves villagers and cows. (I think the cows get saved; Ill have to ask.) Sometimes Ava will watch Minecraft videos authored by people I assume are the spawn of drunken sailors who drop f-bombs and m-f bombs, amongst their kill that ass-wipe quips, which Ill hear from the other room and say, Ava, choose another video please. So I prefer Sky, because he might have a clue that theres a bunch of third graders watching and he does not swear like aforementioned cliched sailor spawn on leave from morality.

But even the cursing Minecrafters are better than pre-tween-targeted sitcoms on Disney or Nickelodeon. Let my sweet impressionable kid spend a day with China on AntFarm or Alex on Wizards of Waverly Place and my parental battles erupt. Bad language is easy to curb, but stupid adult stereotypes, sarcasm, backstabbing behavior, and contempt are not.

I wish this wasnt true, because I love all of the Disney movies, and appreciate the recent releases with strong female characters, but I have yet to see an episode of any tween sitcom (as Ill call them) in which the adults are not morons and the dialogue between the young characters is not caustic.

I can tell Ava a dozen times a day to be kind with her words. I can tell her that how she says something makes a difference, that she has a choice of being hurtful or helpful. But in the end, I give in to her request to watch Minecraft so shell still believe adults are intelligent, trustworthy counselors who can provide a broader perspective.

I know a fight is coming and my ability to advise may dwindle as Avas teen years approach, but Im not willing to have my nine-year-old disregard everything I say.

I can hear Sky from the other room, where Ava is watching as he quests for, well, whatever he quests for on Minecraft. Gold? Butter? I dont know. But Sky, if youre reading, I hope you find it. Thanks for keeping the language PG.
